2025 Fantasy Outlook
Lopez is entering the final stage of his career. At 37 years old, he's signed a contract to be a backup center behind Ivica Zubac - likely ending his days as a must-roster fantasy player. That said, despite his age and size, Lopez has been remarkably durable for the late part of his career. He's played at least 78 games each of the past three seasons. There have been some small signs of decline - notably his block rate decreasing each of the past two seasons. Last season, Lopez averaged 13.0 points and 1.7 threes on 51/37/83 shooting, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.9 blocks in 31.8 minutes. This year, it seems likely he'll be somewhere in the 16-to-22-minute range most nights. There's upside if Zubac suffers a long-term injury, but it's not something fantasy managers should bank on. Serviceable two-way performance
Lopez ended Wednesday's 126-121 Play-In Game loss to Golden State with 17 points (7-16 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals over 37 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Lopez ended his season with another serviceable performance, finishing what was a roller coaster campaign. Following the trade of Ivica Zubac, Lopez was thrust into a starting role, something that he was almost certainly not expecting coming into the season. While he was able to fill the role admirably, it is unlikely that the Clippers view him as a long-term solution. In 29 appearances over the final two months, Lopez averaged 11.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 1.6 three-pointers in 27.5 minutes per game.

Even heading into his age-36 season, Lopez's ability to stretch the floor and block shots makes him worthy of a top-50 pick in fantasy drafts. The veteran has remarkably stayed healthy recently, appearing in 78 and 79 games over the past two seasons, respectively. However, his scoring and field-goal percentage dropped last season compared to the previous campaign. Lopez's points per game went from 15.9 in 2022-23 - his highest mark since 2016-17 - to 12.5 last year, but that can be attributed to the Bucks adding a high-usage player in Damian Lillard. Lopez's field-goal percentage dropped from 53.1 percent in 2022-23 - his highest mark since 2013-14 - to 48.5 last season, but that can be attributed to the big man taking difficult shots with the Bucks' poor floor spacing when Lillard, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton were unavailable for long stretches. Ideally for Lopez, the Bucks will have better team health this season, so he can focus on what he does best - roaming the paint defensively and hoisting threes offensively. If that's the case, Lopez should easily return top-50 value again, but it's always a risky proposition to use an early-round pick on an aging veteran.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Set for bigger role?
Lopez is expected to have a bigger role on offense in the final weeks of the 2025-26 regular season, according to Janis Carr of The Orange County Register.
ANALYSIS
Lopez hasn't started many games this season, but after the recent roster moves and Ivica Zubac's departure, all signs point to a bigger role for Lopez for the foreseeable future. It was noticeable in Friday's loss to the Lakers, when the offense ran through him after the injury exit of Kawhi Leonard and after Bennedict Mathurin fouled out. Lopez ended that loss to the Lakers with 16 points and 10 rebounds, and he should be ready for a big workload since he's been a starter throughout the majority of his career.
