2026 Fantasy Outlook
Gordon did not make the Rockies' Opening Day roster, but he did see three major-league starts in May and posted a 4.24 ERA and 1.35 WHIP across 17 innings before landing on the IL due to an oblique strain. He logged a quality start in his return after the All-Star break but proceeded to go on a disastrous three-game stretch in which he yielded 24 runs (23 earned) across 10.1 innings, and that span greatly inflated his 6.33 ERA (across 75.1 major-league innings) at the end of the season. One thing going for Gordon is his low walk percentage, but he ranked near the bottom of qualified pitchers across most statistical categories including xERA (5.88) and xBA (.294). Gordon figures to be in the Rockies' rotation come Opening Day, given that Colorado has one of the weaker pitching staffs in the majors. Read Past Outlooks

Gordon had a 6.33 ERA in 15 starts for the Rockies last season and delivered a 1.64 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 12:2 K:BB over 11 innings during spring training, but the big club will go in a different direction for their season-opening rotation. The right-hander is now poised to begin the campaign with Albuquerque, where he had a 5.25 ERA across 58.1 innings last year. He should receive another look with the Rockies at some point in 2026, however.
