Nardi (1-0) struck out one in a perfect fifth inning Monday to record the win in a 10-4 victory over Atlanta.
Analysis
Eury Perez was lifted after four-plus innings and 76 pitches with the Marlins ahead 6-4, but Nardi was able to shut down the opposition when he entered the game with runners on first and second and nobody out. The southpaw has looked good to begin 2026 after missing all of 2025 due to back woes, posting a 1.80 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 7:3 K:BB over five innings with a win and two holds in six appearances.

Stat Review
How does Andrew Nardi compare to other relievers?
This section compares his stats with all relief pitcher seasons from the previous three seasons (minimum 30 innings)*. The bar represents the player's percentile rank. For example, if the bar is halfway across, then the player falls into the 50th percentile for that stat and it would be considered average.

* Exit Velocity, Barrels/BBE %, Balls Hit 95+ MPH %, and Spin Rate are benchmarked against 2019 data (min 30 IP). See here for more exit velocity/barrels stats plus an explanation of current limitations with that data set.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2024
Nardi's 2024 surface stats aren't pretty, but looking under the hood provides optimism for his 2025 fantasy prospects. The southpaw posted a strong 70:18 K:BB across his 49.2 innings to improve both his strikeout (33.3 percent) and walk (8.6 percent) rates, respectively. He also tied for Miami's team lead with 15 holds. A late-August elbow injury ended Nardi's season prematurely, but if he's healthy for spring training, he's a lock for a high-leverage role with Miami. Whether that translates into save chances remains to be seen, but Nardi is poised to have a breakout fantasy season one of these years, perhaps as early as 2025.
Nardi's first full season in the majors was a success, as the southpaw made the Marlins' Opening Day bullpen and worked his way from middle relief to a setup role. The 25-year-old finished second on the team with 17 holds, riding his mid-90's fastball and slider to a 2.67 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 73:21 K:BB ratio over 57.1 innings. Nardi was one of the best in the league at limiting hard contact with a 99th percentile average exit velocity allowed (84.6 mph) and 98th percentile hard-hit rate (27.3%). While his 8.9% walk rate was a little high, he was 26th among qualified relievers with a 21.9% K-BB percentage. Nardi figures to open 2024 in the setup role, but don't sleep on the possibility he could earn more save chances after finishing last season with three saves and eight wins.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Likely destined for free agency
PMiami Marlins
October 19, 2025
Nardi, who spent the entire 2025 season on the injured list due to a back injury, is a candidate to be non-tendered by the Marlins during the offseason, reports Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
Analysis
Nardi was a high-leverage option for Miami in 2023 with three saves, 17 holds and a 2.67 ERA in 63 appearances, but he faltered to a 5.07 ERA in 2024 and is now coming off a lost season due to injury. Assuming he is let go by the Marlins, the left-hander should be able to secure a contract somewhere for 2026. He may have to settle for a minor-league contract, however.
