Hummel was dealt to Seattle from Arizona in the deal for Kyle Lewis last winter, and he was able to break camp with the Mariners and even saw some time in the lineup to begin 2023. He went just 2-for-23 in his chances, however, and he didn't see another at-bat with the M's after April 18. The left-handed hitter was effective in Tacoma with an .835 OPS and 27 steals over 455 plate appearances, and he's slashed .288/.420/.492 in his 225 games at the Triple-A level. Hummel is a patient hitter who doesn't possess a ton of swing-and-miss, but he also doesn't have the power potential that you typically see in a viable corner-outfield option. He does have the ability to catch, and that versatility and approach gives him a chance to make the Seattle roster out of the Cactus League. It just won't likely make him worthy of a fantasy roster anytime soon, if ever. Read Past Outlooks
