Dylan Beavers Injury: Beginning assignment Thursday
Beavers (oblique) is expected to begin a rehab assignment at Double-A Chesapeake on Thursday, Andy Kostka of TheBanner.com reports.
Beavers was cleared to begin facing live pitching Monday, and barring a sudden setback, he'll begin testing his strained right oblique in a competitive setting later this week. The 24-year-old outfielder has been sidelined for about a month and will likely require a handful of appearances in the minors before being cleared to return from the IL.
