2025 Fantasy Outlook
Vargas became an immediate starter after joining Sevilla last summer. However, multiple injuries derailed the season and he only managed nine starts in league play. He returned from a hamstring injury in July, so the thought is that he'll be completely past that injury when the season starts. With set pieces and a willingness to shoot, Vargas should be in for a much better second season with Sevilla as long as he stays healthy. It's realistic to assume at least 10 goal contributions, if not more, if things go better for him in Spain.
Late call for Tuesday
Vargas exited training early Monday ahead of Tuesday's match against Colombia and is now questionable, according to manager Murat Yakin, per Lucas Werder of Blick. "The annoyance is, of course, great that they had to interrupt training one day before the game. It would be a big loss if they couldn't stand on the court tomorrow. We will look closely today and tomorrow to see if they can still be there"
ANALYSIS
Vargas has some questions around his availability heading into Tuesday, as the winger was forced to exit training early. This is a major concern for the team, as he has started in all but one game so far this World Cup and remains one of their top attacking options, plus Johan Manzambi (undisclosed) is also questionable. Vargas has earned two goals and an assist, so his absence would leave a hole on the left flank. With two other options to join the midfield in Michel Aebischer (undisclosed) and Djibril Sow (undisclosed) also questionable to play, Fabian Rieder or Noah Okafor could find starting time if Vargas is out.

Target for Tottenham
The Spurs are looking to sign Vargas, according to Football Insider.
ANALYSIS
Tottenham wanted to sign Savinho, but Manchester City blocked all the attempts to acquire the Brazilian. Thus, the Spurs are looking at other targets, and the Swiss international is quite high on the team's list. Vargas is a key player for Sevilla, though, so the Spanish club isn't believed to be keen on parting ways with the winger.
