2025 Fantasy Outlook
Torres built on a strong debut campaign by delivering an even more assured 2024/25 season, showcasing calm under pressure and elite passing from the back. He started regularly when fit and maintained a reliable partnership with Ezri Konsa across all competitions. His ability to break lines with the ball and stay composed in tight areas elevated Villa's build-up play throughout the season. Entering his third year under Unai Emery, Torres is poised to reach a new level in 2025/26. If Villa continue to control possession and limit transitions, he could establish himself as one of the league's premier ball-playing center-backs with hopefully more clean sheets on the horizon.
Suffers injury
Torres was out for Thursday's UEL match against Basel due to an injury and is questionable for Sunday's match against West Ham, according to manager Unai Emery, per John Townley of Birmingham Mail. "Both they are injured. We have Konsa and Lindelof, both centre-backs, and Lamare Bogarde can play there. His versatility is fantastic. We will need players to feel comfortable, when we have players injured, like at left centre-back."
ANALYSIS
Torres had to miss a midweek match Thursday after the defender exited the field early against Arsenal due to injury, now a question mark moving forward due to the injury. Unfortunately for the club, he has been a regular starter, so his absence will force a change if it continues. This will then lead to Lamare Bogarde and Victor Lindelof as potential replacements, unless Torres can come through as a late option.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Man United looking at him
Manchester United are interested in signing Torres, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.
ANALYSIS
The Red Devils are prepared to offer close to £42 million for the 27-year-old Spain defender. However, signing a center-back would be an odd move for the club. They already have Lisandro Martinez, Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire, as well as Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans, as senior alternatives for the position.
