Signs first-team deal
Ault has signed a first-team contract with St. Louis CITY SC through the 2027 MLS Sprint Season, with club options for 2027-28 and 2028-29, the club announced.
ANALYSIS
Ault earns the promotion after a strong run with CITY2, leading the reserve side with eight goals and five assists in the first half of the season, including his first professional brace against Ventura County FC. He had already been training with the first team throughout preseason and the regular season, and sporting director Corey Wray credited his growth and performances for the move. The 22-year-old was drafted by the Colorado Rapids in the second round of the 2025 MLS SuperDraft before returning to Indiana University for his senior year, having also spent three seasons at Butler University. He capped his college career by winning Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year in 2025 and earning unanimous First Team All-Big Ten honors.
