Rots enjoyed a breakthrough Eredivisie season in 2025/26, contributing four goals and four assists across 34 appearances for Twente to establish himself as one of the most promising young full-backs in Dutch football. Sporting director Andreas Schicker praised his clean passing, dynamism, offensive quality and physical presence in defensive duels, describing him as a modern full-back with enormous development potential who perfectly embodies the club's philosophy of nurturing young talent.
