Marcos Zambrano

ANALYSIS
Zambrano initially arrived in New England on loan from Real Salt Lake in March and has scored one goal in four total appearances since, including his MLS debut on May 13 against Nashville SC. He also started both of the Revolution's Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matches in April, scoring his first senior goal against Orlando City on April 29. Before that stretch, he had been productive for Real Salt Lake's MLS NEXT Pro affiliate, Real Monarchs, with three goals in his first four appearances of 2026 after five goals in nine games to close out 2025. The Ecuadorian-American forward came up through the Philadelphia Union academy after his family moved to the U.S. in 2020, and also spent two-and-a-half seasons in Portugal with Benfica B and Vitoria Guimaraes B. He already has ties to his new head coach Marko Mitrović, having played under him at the 2025 U-20 World Cup, where he scored once in five matches for the U.S. He has 27 total appearances and eight goals across the U.S. U19 and U20 setups, after previously representing Ecuador at U15 and U17 level.
