Abella will be suspended for the midweek fixture versus Toluca after being sent off in the season opener. Thus, his next chance to play will come in a Jan. 18 game against Juarez. He's the Laguneros' first-choice right-back, and his absence will be difficult to cover, but perhaps a more offensive-minded asset such as Cristian Dajome or Diego Medina could be deployed in his place. Additionally, Ramiro Sordo and Fran Villalba could gain set-piece numbers while Abella is ineligible.
