Duran joined Benfica on loan from Al-Nassr through the 2026-27 season, with an option to buy, the club announced.

Duran came through Envigado's academy before making his professional debut at 15 in 2019, becoming the second youngest goal scorer in Colombian league history that same year. He moved to Chicago Fire in 2021, then to Aston Villa in 2023, where he scored 12 goals in 2024-25 including four in five straight matches before a move to Al-Nassr. Since then he has spent loan spells at Fenerbahce, where he won the Turkish Super Cup and scored five goals in 21 matches, and at Zenit, where he won the Russian league title. The 22-year-old has also earned 17 caps for Colombia, including an appearance in the 2024 Copa America final. Duran is expected to add attacking firepower to Benfica's frontline under coach Marco Silva.
