2025 Fantasy Outlook
Marshall-Rutty had a decent role to close 2024 after transferring to Montreal, starting in eight of his 10 appearances, playoffs included. He held down most of the duties on the right flank, leading him to a high amount of crosses, registering 41 in his short stint. As long as he can hold down a starting role with Montreal, he could be in for a career season in 2025 after struggling for any kind of consistency at Toronto FC. If he can hit more than 2,000 minutes, there's reason to believe he could surpass five assists with a goal or two.
Returning to Montreal
Marshall-Rutty is returning to Montreal at the end of his loan, Charlotte announced.
ANALYSIS
Marshall-Rutty had a decent season on loan with Charlotte, assisting twice and making a career-high 24 appearances. The loan wasn't made permanent in the end, so now Marshall-Rutty will be back with Montreal. It's unclear if Montreal has a plan to play him in 2026, or if he will look for a new club.
