2025 Fantasy Outlook
Lozano was the biggest name signing for San Diego heading into their first MLS campaign, coming over from Champions League-regulars PSV. The left winger has the potential to immediately be one of the best players in MLS, but he likely won't have the supporting cast to really pop on the scoresheet. Marcus Ingvartsen appears set to lead the line, and while he's a competent finisher, Lozano will have to carry more of the weight as a creator and finisher in this side. Lozano's upside is unquestionable, but with any expansion team, there are uncertainties around what San Diego will look like in 2025.
Leaving San Diego
Lozano "will not be part of San Diego's sporting plans moving forward", according to sporting director Tyler Heaps, SanDiego.Futbol reports.
ANALYSIS
Lozano was relegated to a limited role at the end of his first season in San Diego, apparently due to a conflict with the manager. The winger still posted solid numbers throughout the campaign, registering 11 goals and nine assists from 96 shots (31 on target) and 37 chances created across 31 appearances (22 starts). His future is currently unknown, but his talent should be of interest to several teams in North America and possibly some in Europe.
