CF Montreal won't exercise the option on Doody's contract and will make him a free agent, the team announced Thursday.

ANALYSIS
Doody didn't play for Montreal in the 2024 season and spent the entire campaign on loan at Las Vegas in the USL, where he logged 16 appearances with one goal, four assists and three yellow cards. Doody is expected to continue playing at the USL level, as he's not likely to generate a lot of interest from MLS teams.
