Esmir Bajraktarevic
21-Year-Old
PSV Eindhoven
Eredivisie
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Bajraktarevic can play on either wing and heads into 2025 with one hand on a starting role. The youngster did fine with his chances, taking on a larger role and almost surpassing 2,000 minutes on the way to three goals and three assists in 2024. Bajraktarevic is still growing and looking for a true breakout season. If Carles Gil can stay fit and if Bajraktarevic can handle a full workload in 2025, there's no reason to not take that step forward. Bajraktarevic should mostly play off the left wing in 2025, with Luca Langoni seemingly making the right flank his own if preseason goes well.
Substitute Thursday
Bajraktarevic recorded one interception in Thursday's 4-1 loss to Switzerland.
ANALYSIS
Bajraktarevic was welcomed to the field off the bench Thursday, as the midfielder recorded 26 minutes of play in the rough loss. He was not involved in a whole lot, as an interception was his only stat to go along with nine completed passes. He remains a major reason Bosnia is even at the World Cup, so he will await a starting role for the group stage finale.

Training with AZ
Bajraktarevic is currently training with Dutch side AZ Alkmaar, according to Tom Bogert of MLSSoccer.com.
ANALYSIS
The 17-year-old is the latest MLS youngster to be confirmed on a training stint at a club abroad. AZ Alkmaar recently acquired American attacking midfielder Djordje Mihailovic from CF Montreal as well. There's no word on whether the winger will stay with AZ for a longer period of time, though.
