Emir Karic

ANALYSIS
Primarily deployed as a left back, Karic has made 343 career appearances while playing in Austria and Germany, tallying seven goals and 21 assists. He came up through LASK's youth system in his native Linz before making his senior debut for the club at 17 in 2015. He developed at Red Bull Salzburg's reserve side, FC Liefering, then spent three seasons as a regular at SC Rheindorf Altach before moving to Germany's 2. Bundesliga with SV Darmstadt 98 in 2021, where he helped the club earn promotion to the Bundesliga in 2023. Following Darmstadt's relegation, he returned to Austria with Sturm Graz, winning the league title in his first season and recording five assists across 44 matches in 2025-2026, including 10 European appearances, as the club narrowly missed a third straight title. Capped once for Bosnia & Herzegovina after previously representing Austria at youth level, Karic made his senior international debut in a 1-1 World Cup qualifying draw against Austria in November 2025.
