Brugui
29-Year-Old
Levante
La Liga
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Brugue was excellent off the left wing in La Segunda, popping for 11 goals (a joint team-high) and four assists last season. He was productive throughout the season and was part of a consistently useful attacking unit. All of that points towards a good showing in the top flight, though Levante will likely struggle with the step up in quality to La Liga. Jumping a league at 28 years old doesn't scream stand-out season, but Brugue should have a path to significant minutes in an attacking role. The question is if he can hold onto that role throughout the season.
Returns to bench Monday
Brugui was on the bench for Monday's 0-0 draw against Espanyol, confirming his return to the matchday squad after undergoing surgery in January for a torn lateral collateral ligament in his left knee.
ANALYSIS
Brugui's inclusion in the squad is a significant milestone after such a lengthy road back, and he is now fit and available moving forward as Levante head into the final stretch of the season. Carlos Espi had been performing well in his absence and may retain his starting spot for now, but Brugui's return gives coach Luis Castro a valuable attacking option to call upon as the club fights to secure their top-flight status in the remaining fixtures.

Needs more time
Brugui (knee) is training well but is not yet ready for match action, according to coach Luis Castro. "Brugui is doing well, he is training well but for tomorrow it is too early. He has some muscular discomfort, which is normal because he is just starting now, it is like a new pre-season for him. But little by little I hope he will be at the level we need."
