2025 Fantasy Outlook
Pellegrino completed his first season in San Jose as the club's top scorer. On the face of it that's a good sign, but when he led the way with just seven goals it's far less encouraging. San Jose made the choice to blow it up and go for a totally new look in 2025 under Bruce Arena's leadership, which could be a good sign for Pellegrino, who clearly had the talent to punish MLS defenses. With a better starting striker, Pellegrino could push for double-digit goals in 2025, though that would certainly be a surprise given his 2024 inconsistencies in production.
On bench for RSL match
Pellegrino (Achilles) is among the substitutes in Saturday's visit to Real Salt Lake.
ANALYSIS
Pellegrino made significant progress in his rehabilitation during the last couple of weeks and could be slowly restored into a significant role in the next few games. The winger, who missed two MLS matchups due to his injury, had previously scored one goal and assisted once across five outings. His availability threatens Lewis Morgan and Alex Mighten in terms of playing time going forward.
