Djalo will return to Athletic Club this summer after Al-Gharafa concluded his loan spell at the Qatari club. The 26-year-old forward had sought to rebuild his confidence and minutes after a limited first season in Bilbao, but his time in Qatar brought irregular involvement, alternating between starts and substitute appearances across 19 matches, accumulating 928 minutes and scoring one goal. Although the loan agreement included a purchase option of close to 11 million euros, Al-Gharafa opted against triggering it, leaving Djalo back at Athletic Club where he holds a contract until June 2029.
