Martinez ended up being one of NYC FC's best signings, completing his first full MLS campaign. With Mounsef Bakrar and Jovan Mijatovic not working out, Nick Cushing turned to Martinez. He finished as NYC FC's top scorer with 17 goals in 30 appearances, making 23 starts while averaging close to a goal scored per 90 minutes played. Despite a change of gaffer, the forward will likely assume the striker position again for 2025.
