Onni Valakari News: Signs permanently with San Diego

Valakari has signed permanently with San Diego, joining from Pafos FC and signing a contract through 2028 with an option for 2029, the club announced.

Valakari featured in 39 MLS games during the 2025 MLS season, contributing five goals, eight assists to go with 35 chances created and 58 tackles. The midfielder proved to be an essential asset in the middle of the pitch for the new franchise and convinced the board to sign him permanently. Valakari is expected to regain the similar role heading into the 2026 MLS season.
