Marcus Thuram Injury: Won't face Paraguay
Thuram (calf) is out for Saturday's match against Paraguay, according to manager Didier Deschamps, per Anthony Clement of L'Equipe. "He is still in an adapted session. It's better, he has resumed the race and will continue today (Friday)."
Thuram was unavailable for France against Sweden in the round of 32 and will now miss the round of 16, as he is yet to resume training following a calf injury. This will leave the team with one less option in the attack, although that shouldn't be an issue for a team that could start three different lines of world-class attackers. He will hope to return in the quarterfinals, as France is likely to make it barring a massive upset.
