Kai Trewin News: Signs with NYCFC

Trewin has transferred to New York City FC from A-League squad Melbourne City ahead of the 2026 MLS season, the team announced Tuesday.

Trewin will get his first experience in North America, having already been part of a City Group team since 2024. He's capable of playing in both center-back and holding midfield positions, producing mainly via high numbers of accurate passes all around the pitch. He's expected to challenge either Thiago Martins and Strahinja Tanasijevic in defense or Aiden O'Neill in midfield.
