Diego Abreu News: Heading to Tijuana

Abreu has completed a move to Tijuana from Uruguayan club Defensor Sporting.

Abreu tallied seven goals and one assist across 29 matches played (seven starts) in the Uruguayan league in 2025. With potential for improvement in his still short career, the forward will reinforce the team coached by his father Sebastian Abreu for the Liga MX season. However, he might initially serve as a depth player with Mourad and Josef Martinez favored in the contention for a starting spot up front.
