Anibal Godoy News: Returns to San Diego

Godoy's contract option has been exercised, the club announced.

Godoy will remain the main leader in San Diego's midfield heading into the 2026 season, as his contract option has been exercised. The Panama international started 26 of his 30 appearances since joining from Nashville and proved to be a key player for San Diego with one goal, one assist, 41 tackles and 20 shots in 30 appearances. Godoy proved he could be influencial on both sides of the ball and will likely hold a similar role for the new season.
