PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS

GOALKEEPER

Manuel Neuer, GER v. ITA: Neuer has yet to allow a goal during the tournament, and while Gianluigi Buffon hasn't either (Salvatore Sirigu gave up the lone goal), it's tough to expect Italy to beat Germany. Hugo Lloris is understandably the most expensive option, but Germany are enough of a favorite to believe Neuer should get the win bonus.

DEFENDER

Georgio Chiellini, ITA v. GER: It's highly unlikely that Chiellini scores for the second consecutive game, but this match figures to be very tight due to two solid defenses, and it's entirely possible that it could be 0-0 after 90 minutes, giving Chiellini a three-point bonus in addition to whatever peripheral stats he accumulates.

Jonas Hector, GER v. ITA: The Italy defense has been excellent this tournament, but Hector has been a fine attacking threat, sending in 23 crosses in the last three games. In fact, he's reached double-digit fantasy points in three straight games despite no goals or assists.

Laurent Koscielny, FRA v. ICE: Koscielny isn't going to wow anyone with his fantasy production, but he gets a decent amount of peripheral stats and has a good shot at the three-point clean sheet bonus, plus solid salary savings.

MIDFIELDER

Dimitri Payet, FRA v. ICE: Iceland's run to the quarterfinal has been a great story, and while they've proven to be much better than almost everyone anticipated, they are still not in France's class. Payet has been one of the best players in the tournament and will continue to take free kicks and corners, giving him a tremendous floor with explosive upside.

Toni Kroos, GER v. ITA: This match figures to be much tighter than the other, as both sides boast strong defensive units. That being said, Kroos has been a strong fantasy option during the tournament, scoring at least 12 points in three of four games (he had nine points in the other). His ceiling isn't nearly as high as Payet's, but his floor is pretty safe versus most other midfielders.

Joshua Kimmich, GER v. ITA: Kimmich has lined up as a fullback in the last two matches, but he's been given free reign on the wing to send in crosses, which he's done 14 times in the last two games. He also won six tackles and drew four fouls over that span, giving him a nice base of points against an Italy side that isn't likely to be exposed for a high number of goals.

N'Golo Kante, FRA v. ICE: Kante returns from a one-match suspension and will likely slot immediately back into the starting lineup. His upside is a bit limited, but he gets plenty of fantasy points from peripheral defensive stats, and his salary is low enough to allow spending elsewhere.

FORWARD

Thomas Muller, GER v. ITA: Facing off against one of the best goalkeepers in the world certainly isn't ideal, but Muller is shooting more of late, taking 10 shots in his last two games, and he's even sent in five crosses over that span. Teammate Mario Gomez has a goal in back-to-back games and is cheaper, but his upside isn't nearly as high as Muller's.

Antoine Griezmann, FRA v. ICE: Griezmann finally had his breakout game of the tournament, scoring twice on eight shots (five on target), sending in three crosses, drawing two fouls and winning three tackles in the round of 16 against Ireland. He's expensive, for sure, but he has the best matchup on the slate and plenty of weapons around him.

Kingsley Coman, FRA v. ICE: Even though he hasn't been nearly as good as Coman, Olivier Giroud will probably start up front with Griezmann. However, if Coman rightfully earns the start, he makes for a significant salary savings with a decent floor thanks to his ability to check off multiple spots on the stat sheet.
