2026 Fantasy Outlook
His first full-time effort in the O'Reilly Series would bear mixed fruit in 2025. Sawalich would rack up nine Top-10 finishes and collect one pole position, but he wouldn't get a sniff of victory lane. The now 19-year-old driver will get another full plate with Joe Gibbs Racing this season again in the No. 18 Toyota. Growth will be expected, more competitive racing will also be expected. Based on Sawalich's success in 2023 and 2024 in the ARCA Menards Series, it's a reasonable expectation. He'll once again be paired with Jeff Meendering at crew chief and the two will look to continue building on what they started last season. Sawalich will need to find victory lane this season and increase his appearances in the Top 10 if he hopes to climb both these rankings and the driver point standings. Read Past Outlooks
Fourth at Dover
Sawalich finished fourth in Saturday's NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series BetRivers 200 at Dover Motor Speedway.
ANALYSIS
Sawalich moved into one of the 12 playoff spots with his fourth-place finish on Saturday, his first Top-10 finish since Bristol in mid-April. It's been an uneven season for Sawalich, though he did win at Rockingham earlier in the year. He now heads to Charlotte Motor Speedway, where he showed speed last year with a sixth-place qualifying run but was unable to keep that up over the course of the race, eventually finshing 15th.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2024
The young prospect gets the big promotion to the No. 18 Toyota and the Xfinity Series this season. Sawalich made just three starts in this division last season with little opportunity to impress. However, he did grab a surprising pole position in the season finale at Phoenix. Sawalich is coming off two impressive seasons of racing in the ARCA Menards Series where he captured 13 combined victories and 25 Top-10 finishes spread across 27 starts. That utter domination is what has quickly propelled him up the NASCAR ladder. Joe Gibbs Racing has signed him to make a bid for Rookie of the Year and fill the seat of one of the team's high-profile rides. He has been a short track specialist to this point in his career, so we expect immediate results on those ovals. However, we also expect some inconsistency and struggles as he learns the ropes on other NASCAR tracks.
