Not competitive in Vegas loss
Rendon lost to Bia Mesquita via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:07 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was a mauling in every sense of the word, with Rendon being truly dominated as north of a +500 underdog, largest on the entire card. She ate a pair of right hands early on which left her wobbled before Mesquita proceeded to throw her to the mat and dominate until finally choking Rendon out a little over two minutes in. Set to turn 37 years old in two days, Rendon certainly appears unlikely to go on any sort of run moving forward. She's alternated losses and wins in her first four UFC bouts.

Gets right back in win column
Rendon defeated Alice Pereira via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 30-27) at UFC Noche on Saturday in San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
It was a competent performance from Rendon and a fight she deserved to win as upwards of a +130 underdog. 36 years of age and facing a debuting, 19-year-old opponent, Rendon simply made things ugly. She got in Pereira's face and constantly pressured her. The two women combined to fail on all eight takedown attempts, and while the more damaging strikes may have come from the Pereira side, Rendon was clearly busier, and that made a huge difference in a fight in which not much happened. She has alternated wins and losses in her first three UFC bouts.

Booked for Noche UFC
Rendon (undisclosed) will take on the debuting Alice Pereira in a bantamweight matchup scheduled for Noche UFC on Sept. 13, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Rendon last appeared in the UFC back in March of 2024 when she took a unanimous decision loss to Daria Zhelezniakova. While her takedowns were working in that fight, she was badly out-landed in the striking department, coming up short in all three rounds. She was scheduled for a bounce-back opportunity against Melissa Mullins later that year, but withdrew due to an undisclosed injury, and little has been heard from her since. She now takes on the debuting Pereira, who is just 19 years old at the time of booking and sports a perfect 5-0 record on the regional scene.

Pulls out of Mullins fight
Rendon (undisclosed) will no longer fight Melissa Mullins at UFC Vegas 100 on Nov. 9, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unknown why Rendon withdrew from the event, but she will now have to wait a bit longer to redeem herself after losing her most recent fight against Darya Zheleznyakova in March. Klaudia Sygula will take Rendon's place and make her UFC debut against Mullins.
