Snaps brief losing streak
WelterweightUFC
May 17, 2026
Williams defeated Nikolay Veretennikov via TKO (punches) at 3:31 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was a much-needed bounce-back performance from Williams on the heels of back-to-back losses to Andreas Gustafsson (unanimous decision) and Gabriel Bonfim (submission). Khaos appeared to make a concerted effort to pressure Veretennikov in hopes of limiting his space, and it worked. One huge flurry of punches found the mark in the latter stages of the opening frame, giving Williams his second first-round knockout win in his past four fights. The next challenge for the 32-year-old Michigan native will be to string together back-to-back solid efforts.

Booked vs. Veretennikov
WelterweightUFC
April 24, 2026
Williams will take on Nikolay Veretennikov in a welterweight bout at a UFC event in Las Vegas on May 16, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Williams has lost two straight bouts and between two losses and two cancellations, he hasn't been on the winning side of the Octagon since May 18, 2024, almost exactly two years before this upcoming fight. His opponent Veretennikov, meanwhile, is coming off a win over Niko Price back in February.
Dominated by Andreas Gustafsson
WelterweightUFC
June 7, 2025
Williams lost to Andreas Gustafsson via unanimous decision (27-30, 26-30, 26-30) at UFC 316 on Saturday in Newark, New Jersey.
ANALYSIS
Williams was scheduled to face Albert Tadevosyan last week before that fight fell through. He agreed to face Gustafsson here, who also had a bout cancelled last week, and probably wishes he hadn't. Khaos was completely neutralized by one of the most aggressive fighters we have seen in recent memory. He gave up eight takedowns and 9:34 worth of control time and had zero notable offensive moments. Simply put, he was broken. Khaos has now dropped two straight and needs to dig deep to find a victory his next time out.

May 30, 2025
Williams will now face Andreas Gustafsson in a welterweight bout at UFC 316 on June 7, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Williams was initially slated to take on Albert Tadevosya at UFC 316 , but the latter dropped out due to not being physically ready. Williams needed a new opponent fast, and he's found one in Gustafsson, who will be making his UFC debut after three cancelled bouts with the promotion.

Williams will not fight Albert Tadevosyan at UFC 316, according to Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
ANALYSIS
Tadevosyan himself said he is not physically ready for UFC 316, meaning the former needs a new opponent for June 7. The question is whether or not he can get one in time.
Booked versus Tadevosyan
WelterweightUFC
May 29, 2025
Williams will face newcomer Albert Tadevosyan at UFC 316 on June 7, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams was originally set to fight Uros Medic, but he was forced to drop out of the fight. Now Williams will face the newcomer Tadevosyan on short notice. Tadevosyan is 13-3-1 in his MMA career and has won each of his last six fights. Williams holds a slight advantage in height and reach, and obviously experience as well.
