Called up for short-notice debut
Vazquez will make his UFC debut in a bantamweight matchup against Javid Basharat at UFC Vegas 113 on Saturday, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

Vazquez, a 31-year-old Mexican-born fighter, had been competing on the regional scene, winning five fights in a row under the banner of the California-based "Up Next" fighting. He most recently competed at flyweight back in October, but will have to move up to bantamweight to get his UFC shot. Even though Basharat has dropped back-to-back fights, look for Vazquez to enter as a sizable underdog.
