Official UFC debut set
Romious will take on Gaston Bolanos in a bantamweight matchup at UFC Vegas 100 on November 9, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
After two fights on Contender Series and 11 total fights overall, Romious will get his official company debut scheduled against another relative newcomer who is 1-1 with the company. Romious will give up three inches in height and an inch in reach on paper to Bolanos, who also has a slight statistical edge in volume striking, albeit over a small sample size.

Earns contract despite decision
Romious defeated Michael Imperato via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. After the show, he was one of four fighters to earn an official UFC contract.
ANALYSIS
This contract decision was a bit puzzling, as Romious didn't not get the finish and is a bit past prospect status at the age of 30, especially in a loaded bantamweight division. He lost in last season of the Contender Series and has experience under the LFA banner, but most recently competed on the Iowa regional scene. He does have a backstory that apparently intrigued Dana White enough to offer the contract despite the fact that he was credited with only 40 significant strikes in this bout. Expectations are low, but this is a fighter who seems to literally have nothing to lose.
