Facing Chairez in June
Silva will take on Edgar Chairez in a flyweight bout at UFC Vegas 118 on June 6, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Silva is looking to bounce back from a loss to Charles Johnson his last time in the Octagon, a disheartening defeat that dropped him to 1-4 in his last five bouts. He'll look to change his fortunes against Chairez, who's won two straight fights in the UFC.

Falls to 1-4 in past five fights
Silva lost to Charles Johnson via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was a close fight that could have legitimately gone either way. Silva put forth quite an effort considering he entered as a +140 underdog. He had no problems getting inside and damaging Johnson on the feet despite giving up five inches in both the height and reach departments. The bigger blows probably came from the Johnson side, although Silva did manage to find 3:43 worth of control time along the way. The two men combined to fail on all 14 of their takedown attempts. It was abundantly clear there isn't much separating these two. Unfortunately for the Brazilian, he falls to 1-4 in his past five fights.

Receives new opponent
Silva will now fight Charles Johnson at UFC Vegas 114 on March 14, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Silva's original opponent, Lone'er Kavanagh (undisclosed), withdrew from the fight, so Silva will now take on an opponent who is coming off a loss but has four inches of reach over him. Silva, meanwhile, defeated Hyun Sung Park in October to snap a two-fight skid.

ANALYSIS
After back-to-back defeats, Silva got back in the win column with a victory over Hyun Sung Park in October. The 35-year-old flyweight will now attempt to put together another winning streak by taking down Kavanagh, who suffered his first professional loss during his latest bout.

Snaps brief losing streak
Silva defeated Hyun Sung Park via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:15 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Vancouver.
ANALYSIS
Fresh off back-to-back third-round knockout losses to arguably the two top contenders in the division in Joshua Van and Manel Kape, Silva found himself a surprising +175 underdog here against Park. He quickly reminded everyone he remains a threat at 125 pounds. Silva did enough on the feet to get his grappling game going. He turned five successful takedowns into 4:49 worth of control time and the rear-naked choke which closed the show. Silva may not be a legitimate contender, but he's an easy top-10 guy at flyweight.

Fighting Park in October
Silva will face Hyun Sung Park at UFC Vancouver on October 18, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Silva will head into the bout looking to bounce back coming off back-tback defeats at the hands of Joshua Van and Manel Kape in June and December, respectively. The 35-year-old Brazilian will have to overcome a height disadvantage in comparison to the younger Korean fighter. With a balanced professional record across all finishes, Silva will be able to keep his options open against Park, though he will have his hands full considering the Korean's 10-1 professional record across all finishes.
