Second straight knockout loss
Light HeavyweightUFC
March 28, 2026
Lopes lost to Navajo Stirling via TKO (strikes) at 4:05 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Seattle.
ANALYSIS
Lopes nearly made it through two full rounds, which may not seem like much on the surface, but it was about all you could ask for as a +500 underdog against a finisher like Stirling. He was playing with danger the entire fight and finally got caught. Lopes probably should have been finished a good 30-40 seconds earlier, but referee Keith Peterson allowed him to absorb a massive beating before finally pulling the plug. The Brazilian suffered back-to-back knockout defeats on the heels of a unanimous decision win over Magomed Gadzhiyasulov back in January 2025.
Booked vs. Stirling
Light HeavyweightUFC
January 28, 2026
Lopes will take on Navajo Stirling in a light heavyweight bout at UFC Seattle on March 28, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Lopes is coming off a rough showing in his last bout, as he was taken care of by Dustin Jacoby with a left hook in the first round of a fight back in May of 2025. That dropped his UFC record to 1-1 after he began his career with a win over Magomed Gadzhiyasulov. His next oppoonent Stirling poses a tough challenge, as he's off to a perfect 3-0 start in the promotion.
Destroyed by Dustin Jacoby
Light HeavyweightUFC
May 31, 2025
Lopes lost to Dustin Jacoby via TKO (punches) at 1:50 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Lopes made his UFC debut in January against a fellow striker in Magomed Gadzhiyasulov and leaned on his wrestling to pull the upset. He had no change to employ a similar game plan in this one because he was melted in an instant by Jacoby. Bruno absorbed far too many power shots early on and was forced up against the fence before being finished off with one brutal blow. Lopes earned a ton of stoppage wins on the Brazilian regional scene prior to his UFC arrival, but we have seen that plenty of times in the past. He needs a rebound performance his next time out.
Pulls upset in UFC debut
Light HeavyweightUFC
January 11, 2025
Lopes defeated Magomed Gadzhiyasulov via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Making his official UFC debut as a +225 underdog, Lopes made a point of leaning on his wrestling. He fired off a whopping 14 takedown attempts in all, landing five for 9:19 worth of control time. The prolonged success on the mat over the course of the final two rounds was enough to earn Lopes the decision despite the fact Gadzhiyasulov did some solid work on the feet in the opening frame. The Brazilian improves to 14-1 as a professional, with the lone defeat coming via knockout to Brendson Ribeiro in his first of two appearances on Dana White's Contender Series.
Debut scheduled
Light HeavyweightUFC
October 24, 2024
Lopes will fight Magomed Gadzhiyasulov at UFC Vegas 101 on Jan. 11, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Lopes earned a UFC contract after taking down Mikheil Sazhiniani in a Contender Series fight in August. He'll now face a tough test in his promotional debut against Gadzhiyasulov, who has yet to take a loss nine fights into his professional career.
