Aori Qileng
Mongolian Murderer

China
Dominated in home country
Qileng lost to Cody Haddon via TKO (Strikes) at 2:21 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Macau, China.
ANALYSIS
Qileng entered as a +350 underdog for this fight. It should have been +3500 and even that wouldn't have been a high enough number. The highlight of his evening was the fact he managed to survive Round 1 despite the fact all three judges scored it 10-8 in favor of Haddon. Qileng appeared to recover a bit in between rounds, but Haddon quickly picked up the pressure once again, eventually putting Qileng away with a knee to the gut. The 32-year-old has just a single win (1-2, 1NC) in his last four fights dating back to February 2024.

Set to take on Haddon
Qileng will face Cody Haddon in a bantamweight at UFC Macau on May 30, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Qileng is coming off one of the most dominant performances of his career after topping Cody Gibson via TKO just 21 seconds into their fight the last time out, and that result boosted his UFC record to 4-4 with 1NC. Qileng is the true definition of roster depth, and it remains to be seen if he can string back-to-back wins in a fight where he should have plenty of support from the local fans.

Starches Cody Gibson instantly
Qileng defeated Cody Gibson via TKO (punches) at 0:21 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Vancouver.
ANALYSIS
The definition of roster depth, Aoriqileng entered with a 3-4 (1NC) record in eight UFC bouts. He has some power, but has never beaten anyone of note and has seemingly been trending in the wrong direction for a while now. Yet, in the span of two successive right hands, Aori picked up his most impressive victory to date and has now solidified his roster spot moving forward. He would also go on to be awarded a $50,000 Performance of the night bonus for his efforts here. While it seems unlikely to result in continued success moving forward, the 32-year-old is now guaranteed another fight with the company.

ANALYSIS
Qileng last to Raul Rosas in September of 2024 and hasn't stepped into the Octagon since. Now, he'll return over a year later, looking for win number four in the UFC. His opponent Gibson fought more recently, losing to Da'Mon Blackshear back in March, but both fighters will be looking to bounce back.

Drops UFC 306 opener
Qileng lost to Raul Rosas via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC 306 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Qileng saw the final bell and stole the middle round on all three scorecards, all you can ask for as a +650 underdog, by far the largest on the entire card. Aori did fine on the feet, but predictably gave up three takedowns and spent far too much time being controlled on the mat in the first and final frames to potentially win a decision. A member of the UFC roster for more than four years now, the 31-year-old drops to 3-4 (1NC) in eight fights with the promotion. Qileng is nothing more than roster depth for a company which holds an event most every Saturday.
