Frye will no longer take on Max Gimenis in a heavyweight bout at UFC Vegas 116 on April, 25, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear why Frye has pulled out of this fight, but he won't get a chance to even his UFC record at 1-1 in late April. He's been replaced by Marcus Buchecha, who will step in on short notice to face Gimenis.

Frye lost to Guilherme Pat via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Frye was handed a UFC contract despite the fact he had all of six professional fights under his belt entering the evening, all on the Carolina regional scene. He faced a fellow newcomer in Pat and showed next to nothing. His "offense" consisted of trying to pin Pat along the fence. The fact Frye was swept on the scorecards despite generating 7:55 worth of control time tells you all you need to know. The UFC almost never cuts a fighter after just one appearance, but Frye could be a potential exception following this performance.

ANALYSIS
Frye will take on fellow UFC newcomer Pat as both fighters look to make a strong first impression inside the Octagon. Frye has a 6-0 MMA record, most recently fighting with Real Deal Championships and Ultimate Battle. His opponent Pat, meanwhile, sits at 5-0 professionally and most recently fought in the LFA.
