Davidson will make the jump to Japan after spending his 14 professional seasons in North America in affiliated ball. The 31-year-old appeared in 13 Major League Baseball games, slashing .147/.216/.324 with a 35.1 percent strikeout rate in 37 plate appearances between stops with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Oakland Athletics.
