Vasily Podkolzin

After diminishing returns in the previous two years with the Canucks, Podkolzin got things back on track in his first year with the Oilers. He had 24 points, 211 hits, 114 shots on net and 48 PIM over 82 regular-season games, and he chipped in another 10 points in 22 playoff outings. Podkolzin will be a restricted free agent next summer, and the challenge for him now is to find year-to-year consistency offensively while maintaining a healthy level of physicality without crossing the line on penalties too often. It's tough for a depth forward in Edmonton to make a fantasy impact, but Podkolzin saw some time on the second line, and if he can be there regularly, he's got a path to at least a bench spot for virtual squads.
