It was an underwhelming appearance for the young netminder, as he gave up four goals on just 17 shots in the loss. Still, it was a solid sophomore campaign overall for Augustine, as he went 19-7-4 with a .924 save percentage in 30 outings with Michigan State. It seems unlikely he would immediately join the Red Wings this year, instead possibly signing a future contract while joining AHL Grand Rapids on an amateur tryout for the rest of 2024-25.
