2025 Fantasy Outlook
Zacha finished the 2024-25 campaign with 14 goals and 47 points across 82 outings. That represented a regression for him, but not a major one -- he had 57 and 59 points in 2022-23 and 2023-24, respectively. What dip he did suffer was in large part due to his shooting percentage going from 15.1 over the previous two campaigns to 10.6 last season, resulting in him falling short of the 21 markers he accumulated in each of those previous two years. His career shooting percentage is 11.8, and those seasons were the only times the 28-year-old has reached the 20-goal mark, so a bounce-back campaign is far from guaranteed. Still, a season in the 45-55 point range is a reasonable expectation, and there’s a chance he’ll perform slightly better than that. Read Past Outlooks
Hat trick not enough Sunday
Zacha scored three goals, including one on the power play, in Sunday's 5-4 overtime loss to Pittsburgh.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old center found the back of the net in each regulation period, but Zacha didn't get a chance to produce one more in OT as Thomas Novak ended the game just 17 seconds into the extra frame. The hat trick was the second of Zacha's career, and the power-play tally was his career-high seventh of the season. Over the course of a five-game point streak, he's collected four goals and eight points, and he's now at 19 tallies and 45 points through 60 contests overall.

Zacha has been a good fit alongside David Pastrnak in the last two campaigns, scoring 21 goals in consecutive years while improving from 57 points in 2022-23 to 59 points in 2023-24, despite playing in four fewer contests. The Czech forward also tied his previous best with 148 shots on net and registered a career-high 106 hits across 78 regular-season outings. It is anticipated that the natural center will move to the left wing this upcoming year, a position he occupied during his first season with the Bruins and received again during the 2024 playoffs, to accommodate Elias Lindholm's arrival to the top-line center role. Staying with Pastrnak while adding Lindholm to the mix should ensure another productive showing for the 27-year-old Zacha in 2024-25, as he could surpass the 60-point plateau for the first time in his NHL career.

Olympics in peril?
Zacha, who missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, may not be able to play for Czechia in the 2026 Winter Olympics, according to Czech NHL reporter Zdenek Janda on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Janda reports that there has been no improvement in Zacha's injury over the past few days. Czechia plays its first game against Canada on Thursday. While there is still some time for Zacha to recover, the 28-year-old may have to miss his first chance to play in the Olympic Games.
