Jackson Blake

22-Year-Old Right WingRW
Carolina Hurricanes
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Taken with the No. 109 overall pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, Blake has proven to be a diamond in the rough. He recorded 17 goals and 34 points across 80 regular-season outings as a rookie in 2024-25 before finding another level with 22 goals and 53 points in 81 regular-season appearances in 2025-26. Blake’s jump offensively went hand-in-hand with an increase of 2:39 in average ice time in his second season. His points per 60 minutes also rose from 1.8 to 2.4 year-over-year, which showcases substantial real growth on offense. The 23-year-old should continue to develop and push for 60 points this season. He also tends to get into some trouble, which could result in 30-50 PIM. He does far worse in terms of hits -- just 13 last year -- so he loses some versatility in leagues that use hits over PIM. Two points in Cup clincher
RWCarolina Hurricanes
June 14, 2026
Blake scored a goal on three shots, dished an assist, added two PIM, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Golden Knights in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
ANALYSIS
Blake had five points over six games versus Vegas in the Cup Finals. The 22-year-old winger made a name for himself in the postseason with six goals, 14 assists, 43 shots on net, 18 hits, 14 blocked shots, 24 PIM and a plus-8 rating over 19 appearances. Blake has already established himself as a reliable scoring winger, and he should be part of the Hurricanes' core for years to come.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2024
Blake wasn't among the elites of the rookie class in 2024-25, but he carved out an average of 13:51 of ice time while racking up 17 goals and 34 points over 80 regular-season outings. Including the playoffs, his ice time spiked toward the end of the year, as he averaged 16:40 per game from the beginning of March onward. He'll be 22 years old for all of the 2025-26 campaign, and he's poised to become a top-six regular for the Hurricanes, who saw significant upheaval last season and still remained one of the most structured teams in the league. Blake doesn't have much of a physical edge, but a push in the 20-to-25-goal range, alongside a jump to 40-plus points, puts him in position to be a valuable depth forward with breakout potential in fantasy.
Blake is an intriguing prospect who was a Hobey Baker Award finalist last season after scoring 22 goals and 38 assists in 40 NCAA appearances with the University of North Dakota. The 21-year-old looks to be a steal by the Hurricanes after they selected him in the fourth round - 109th overall - in 2021. He got a taste of the NHL in the regular-season finale for the Hurricanes but was a minus-2 with nary a point in a 6-3 loss to Columbus. Blake should start the season in the minors to gain some professional experience, but do not be surprised if he is a mid-season call-up should he excel at the AHL level.
