2025 Fantasy Outlook
Parayko took his offense to new heights in the 2024-25 season, shattering his previous career high of 10 goals with 16, tied for the sixth-most in the league among blueliners. He did this despite missing 18 games during the regular season, including 17 in a row due to a knee injury late in the campaign. His performance is even more impressive when you consider just one of his goals was on the power play. That being said, his 12.8 shooting percentage was twice as high as any prior season, so it’s fair to assume that his goal-scoring numbers will regress, especially since he was no longer used on the power play once Cam Fowler arrived via a midseason trade from Anaheim. You should be able to count on Parayko to deliver around 30 points in the 2025-26 season, but he has a fairly low ceiling without power-play time. Read Past Outlooks
Collects pair of points
Parayko scored a goal on two shots, dished an assist, went plus-2 and blocked two shots in Friday's 6-2 win over the Ducks.
ANALYSIS
Parayko had gone 11 games without a point since he returned from a back injury that cost him five contests. The 32-year-old blueliner continues to see top-four minutes for the Blues, but he's had more of a focus on shutdown work this year. He's up to two goals, 16 points, 97 shots on net, 88 hits, 162 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating through 70 appearances.

The Blues hoped Parayko would take the next step offensively after ripping off three straight seasons with 33-plus points when he entered the league, but he has topped 30 points just once in the past six seasons. However, he eats big minutes on the top pairing of the blue line while facing the league's top forwards, making his $6.5 million AAV a bargain. It's tough for fantasy managers to get excited about a blueliner that isn't cemented on the power play, but Parayko provides a meaningful floor with 113 hits and 218 blocked shots last season. Thus, fantasy managers should feel comfortable targeting the 31-year-old late in fantasy drafts and utilizing him as an occasional streamer, even if his ceiling is limited.

ANALYSIS
Parayko has a full no-trade clause, so he'd have to approve any potential deal ahead of Friday's deadline. However, the Sabres and Blues were engaged in significant discussions Wednesday, and the Blues will now need to seek out a new trade partner if they hope to receive a return for Parayko.
