Annunen took an impressive leap in 2023-24, especially when you strip away his first four appearances. Not that they were bad, but what came after was brilliant. Starting Feb. 29, Annunen made 10 appearances, going 7-2-0 with two shutouts and delivering a .942 save percentage. The stats weren't a fluke - in just 14 games overall, he delivered a 13.37 GSAx (goals saved above expected). The next guy on the list was Semyon Varlamov, one of the NHL's best backups. Annunen will be behind Alexandar Georgiev in 2024-25, and he could start 25 games, maybe a few more. Annunen won't replicate the stats from the end of last season, but he will likely give you a lot more than Georgiev in limited time. Dynasty managers take note - he'll be the starter in a few years.
