Jake Allen News: Takes loss in relief

Allen made 23 saves in relief during Thursday's 8-4 loss to Tampa Bay. He allowed five goals.

The Devils have struggled mightily lately, losing six of their past seven games and five consecutive matchups at home. Allen is 1-5-0 in his last five starts. The win was by shutout, but three of those losses had at least five goals go past him. Allen and Jacob Markstrom will be risky options in New Jersey's net until they regain their bearings.
