Zecheng Dou

29-Year-Old Golfer
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Dou hit his stride during the final stage of the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour season, posting a T2-2-T15 stretch from the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship through the KFT Championship, thus securing the 18th-place spot on the Points List and a PGA Tour card for 2026. Dou earned $1.1M during his last full season at the PGA Tour level in 2022-23, but he notched just one top-10 finish in 33 events played. However, he ranked 21st or better on the KFT in each of driving distance, GIR percentage and scrambling this past year. Read Past Outlooks
Slows down after strong start
March 30, 2026
Dou finished tied for 21st at the Texas Children's Houston Open with an eight-under cumulative score.
ANALYSIS
Dou opened the tournament nicely with rounds of 66-67 across the first two days, but he dropped down the leaderboard after going one-under over the weekend. Despite ranking near the bottom of the field in birdies made, Dou's four bogeys were tied for the least amount at Memorial Park. He also ranked 10th in scrambling, T17 in SG: Around-the-Green and T24 in GIR. Overall, it was a nice bounce-back performance from Dou after he missed the cut in consecutive weeks at THE PLAYERS Championship and the Valspar Championship, and he has three top-25 finishes through nine events. He'll tee off at the Valero Texas Open next week, where he missed the cut in his last outing in 2023.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2017
Dou put together four solid rounds to finish T12 and the Sanderson Farms Chamionship in October, but it wasn't quite enough to get him into full eligibility for 2024. The 26-year-old needs more seasoning in the States and has the potential to make an impact if he can improve his putting. He ranks a dismal137th in Puts Per Round.
Not only did Dou flash some upside with three total top-3s and a win at The Ascendant in early July, but he also missed the cut in just five of his 23 starts throughout the 2022 Korn Ferry Tour season. He ranked seventh among his KFT peers in birdie average, 17th in ball striking and third in par-5 scoring. His rookie campaign on the PGA Tour in 2017-18 was a major disappointment, however, ultimately credited with just four made cuts in 23 events played as he finished 227th in the FedExCup standings.
At just 20 years old, Dou becomes the first Chinese player ever to earn a PGA Tour card after finishing 16th on the Web.com's regular season money list. A win at the Digital Ally Open made this all possible, given the fact he missed 10 of 24 cuts and only notched five top-25s throughout his 2017 campaign. It's difficult to predict much success as a rookie for the 20-year-old, although he did rank eighth in birdie average and 23rd in putting average at the Web.com level. Dou also finished T40 at the 2017 WGC-HSBC Champions event.
