S.H. Kim

27-Year-Old Golfer
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Kim lost a one-hole playoff to ultimately notch a runner-up result in the 2025 KFT season opener, but he avenged the defeat with a win in May at the AdventHealth Championship, securing a PGA Tour card for 2026 after finishing just 113th in the 2024 FedExCup standings. The 27-year-old Korean ranked top 10 on the KFT in both total driving and birdie or better conversion percentage, posting a 27.6 percent par-breaker rate. Read Past Outlooks
First top-10 of 2026
March 22, 2026
Kim finished in a four-way tie for seventh at the Valspar Championship with a seven-under cumulative score.
ANALYSIS
Kim went under par over the final three rounds of the tournament, which was enough for him to come away with his first top-10 finish of the PGA Tour season and his best performance since THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson in May of 2024 (T4). Kim ranked 12th in SG: Putting and in the top-20 in birdies made, SG: Approach and SG: Around-the-Green. He's in the field next week for the Texas Children's Houston Open, where he finished T47 and T45 in his two lone appearances in 2022 and 2024, respectively.

2023
After a pretty solid rookie campaign in 2022-23 that saw him rack up nine top-25s in 36 starts, Kim struggled a bit more to find good results in 2024 with just three top-25s. The 26-year-old did rank inside the top-55 in SG: Around-the-Green and SG: Putting, but outside the top-140 in SG: Off-the-Tee and SG: Approach is hard to make up. By comparison, in 2022-23 he was all the way up in 61st in SG: Total, including ranking 29th in SG: Off-the-Tee. There's certainly some things Kim is looking to change going into 2025.
Kim had an uneven rookie season on Tour with his only two top-10s coming in the fall against weaker competition. Neverthless, he did make a decent 22-of-36 cuts with nine top-25 finishes. The 25-year-old was top-50 in driving distance, strokes-gained off-the-tee, around-the-green and putting, but he'll need to vastly improve his iron play as he lost nearly a half a stroke per round on approach. That's certainly within the realm of possibility given that he's young and now has a year under his belt, but the poor approach numbers are cause for concern.
Kim had already recorded a trio of top-3 finishes on the Korn Ferry Tour by the end of March, so his summer was relatively stress-free with his first PGA Tour card clinched fairly early for 2022-23. Nonetheless, he added two more top-15 results during the KFT Finals at the Albertsons Boise Open and the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship, so he made nearly $300K through 22 events on the KFT. Kim also made one start on the PGA Tour during the 2021-22 season, tying for 32nd at the limited-field CJ Cup. At just 23 years old, Kim already owns several impressive professional wins on an international stage, including victories at the 2021 Japan PGA Championship and the 2020 KPGA Championship.
