Ryan Fox

Ryan Fox

39-Year-Old Golfer
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Fox's first full season on the PGA Tour in 2024 was good, but not great. He did enough to secure his card for the following season, but he didn't show much of an upside. That all changed this past season when Fox posted two wins and nearly $4 million in earnings. The issue with Fox however is that he did all of his damage in one elongated run and outside of that, he didn't play well. With that said, anytime you win twice and make nearly $4 million, does it really matter if it happens within a two-month span or if it's spread out over the full season? Techinically no, but it does make you wonder if he just got really hot for a short and if it's replicable. Considering he's already 38 and it took a while for this breakthrough, it's probably wise to proceed with caution. As such, he's not a great salary cap option this season. Read Past Outlooks
T8 in defense effort
June 15, 2026
Fox closed with a two-under 68 on Sunday at the RBC Canadian Open to finish 12-under and tied for eighth.
ANALYSIS
Fox's title defense effort in Canada was highlighted by 20 total birdies and an eagle en route to the top-10 finish at TPC Toronto, where he ultimately ranked fifth among the field in putts per GIR and eighth in SG: Ballstriking. He rises five spots to No. 59 in the FedExCup standings ahead of the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills, where he tied for 41st back in 2018.

2023
It was an interesting rookie season for Fox after he acquired his Tour card through his standing on the DP World Tour. He failed to post a top-25 across his first nine events before posting a pair of top-5s in a team event and an alternate event. A T7 at the Canadian Open was arguably his most impressive result, and he ultimately finished 118th in the FedExCup to retain full status. Fox ranked 20th in driving distance and his length is his biggest asset, but he was also third-to-last on Tour in accuracy. Considering he doesn't do anything else that well, he'll have to grind to keep his card for 2026.
Fox has put himself on the map after notching three wins on the DP World Tour over the last two years, including the BMW PGA Championship last fall. Fox made the cut in all four majors in 2023 and be a contender to make the FedExCup playoffs thanks to his length and putting prowess. He picked up eight top-30s in 13 starts on the PGA Tour alone as a special temporary member in 2023.
Fox was an incredibly safe pick this past season on the DP World Tour, logging a whopping nine top 15 finishes and five finishes within the top five. He claimed victory at the Ras Al Khaimah Classic to ice the cake on an excellent year. That said, he doesn’t play much stateside, and his only made cuts in four PGA Tour events last year were the Scottish Open (T47) and PGA Championship (T54). Accordingly, don’t expect the New Zealander to suddenly take the U.S. slate by storm, but he certainly has the game to contend regularly on both tours depending on where he competes.
