2026 Fantasy Outlook
After closing 2024 with his first PGA Tour win at the RSM Classic, McNealy used that as a springboard to a strong 2025 campaign. The Stanford product did pretty much everything but win last season, racking up five top-5 finishes. McNealy was one of the biggest Ryder Cup snubs, and his elite putting is something the U.S. Team certainly needed at Bethpage. He also had one of the best ball striking seasons of his career. The only hole you could really poke in McNealy was in the short game department, which is ironic considering he ranked 10th on Tour in SG: Around-the-Green in 2024. If McNealy can take his iron play from 2025 and get back to that kind of short game play, he could be in for an even better season in 2026. A big focus for McNealy has to be his play in the majors, as he has yet to finish better than T23 in 12 career starts. Read Past Outlooks
Scrambling leader at Augusta
McNealy registered a five-under cumulative score at The Masters to finish tied with Matt Fitzpatrick and Viktor Hovland for 18th.
ANALYSIS
McNealy was in jeopardy of missing the cut after a five-over 77 score in the first round. He rebounded with a two-under 70 in the second round to make it to the weekend and capped things off with a five-under 67 on Sunday, which was enough for him to jump 21 spots into the top-20. McNealy's success came in the short game, leading the field at Augusta National in scrambling while ranking fifth in SG: Around-the-Green, 14th in SG: Putting and in the top-25 in GIR, driving distance and SG: Off-the-Tee. He has made the cut in eight of nine tournaments in 2026, including six top-25 finishes. He'll tee off at the RBC Heritage next week, where he finished T3 in 2025 and T4 in 2021.

McNealy was slowly working his way up the PGA Tour ladder over his first three years on tour, going from 68th in the final standings to 32nd by the end of 2022, but 2023 was definitely a set back when he landed in spot 130 at year's end. He bounced back in 2024, however, racking up six top-10s and 12 top-25s, including his long-awaited first PGA Tour victory at the RSM Classic. The knock on McNealy was always that he was unable to land the high-end finishes, but after finally seeing that he can break through and win at the highest level, there is certainly optimism that the 29-year-old can build on that in 2025 and have a big season.
