2026 Fantasy Outlook
Hubbard appeared to have lost his form this past spring after going through a nine-event stretch with only three made cuts and a best finish of T47, but he rebounded with three results of T12 or better across his next four starts to right the ship. A T3 finish at the Wyndham Championship was enough to keep his card for a seventh straight season, but he failed to post a top-25 in seven fall events. Hubbard relies on his above average putting, but he's never been a particularly good driver and the iron play has dipped the last couple of seasons. He's a tough player to be overly excited about as his best golf looks to be in the rear view mirror. Read Past Outlooks
Bid for first win slips away
Hubbard bogeyed the 72nd hole to fall one shot shy of forcing a playoff at the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hubbard has been a journeyman out here on the PGA Tour, but on Sunday he was in a great position to win for the first time holding the 54-hole lead. Sunday was a battle with five birdies and four bogeys, but in the end he came up a shot shy of matching 45-year-old Brandt Snedeker's 18-under-par total. Hubbard was tied for the lead, but a bad drive on 18 forced him to chip out. His third-shot went to about 25 feet, but Hubbard was unable to convert for par. While the victory got away, Hubbard will still get a lot of FedExCup points that could help improve his status later down the line. He won't be in the field for the PGA Championship next week, however.

Hubbard had a breakthrough season in 2023 when he posted six top-10s on his way to nearly $3 million in earnings. Hubbard had been trending upwards during the previous few seasons and it seemed to pay off during the '23 season. His game slipped a little off that pace in 2024, but not so much that '23 seemed like a fluke. Hubbard seems to have solid footing now and it's unlikely that he takes a major step backwards anytime soon, but his ceiling is still a mystery. Hubbard spent almost a decade getting to this point and at no point has he shown a high ceiling. That could change if he finds his first PGA Tour win at some point, but for now, the safe play is to be very cautious of Hubbard in salary cap leagues.
