2026 Fantasy Outlook
Rahm came into the 2025 season having won the LIV Golf Individual Championship during his debut year in 2024, finishing in the top 10 in every tournament he finished while winning two of the last three events of the season. He was Mr. Consistency once again in 2025, and despite not winning a single LIV Golf tournament, he was able to outlast Joaquin Niemann to win the Individual Championship for a second consecutive season while also leading his Legion XIII squad to the Team Championship. Rahm had solid outings in the major championships -- including top-10 finishes at the PGA Championship and the U.S. Open Championship -- but those kinds of performances don’t mean much when it comes to the four biggest tournaments in golf, though he did play a key role in Team Europe’s Ryder Cup victory over the Americans. Rahm will enter the 2026 season looking to three-peat as LIV Golf champion while adding a third major championship to his trophy cabinet. Read Past Outlooks
Tied for second at PGA Championship
Rahm recorded a two-under 68 in the final round of the PGA Championship to finish tied for second with Alex Smalley and three strokes behind winner Aaron Rai.
ANALYSIS
Rahm was one of several players that made the cut who took advantage of the more forgivable pin locations Saturday, ending with a three-under 67 that ended with a bogey on the 18th. He was part of that cluster of players at four-under heading into the final round and two strokes back of Alex Smalley for the clubhouse lead. Rahm teased a third-career major victory after opening Sunday with back-to-back birdies, but the Spaniard dropped a shot on both the third and seventh holes. He gave himself plenty of birdie opportunities over the course of the final round but only converted on the ninth and 16th holes, which wasn't enough for him to keep up with Rai. Although he fell short at Aronimink, it was still an encouraging performance out of Rahm and his best finish at a major since his victory at The Masters in 2023. He was also the best out of the LIV Golf contingent, with Cameron Smith (T7), David Puig (T18) and Joaquin Niemann (T18) rounding out those on the breakaway tour who finished in the top-20. Rahm will tee off at two LIV tournaments (Korea and Andalucia) before the U.S. Open Championship in mid-June, where he finished T7 in 2025 at Quail Hollow.

Once one of LIV Golf’s biggest critics, Rahm rocked the golfing world in December of 2023 when he opted to defect from the PGA Tour to the breakoff league. Other than the initial list of signees for the inaugural 2022 season, Rahm has arguably been the largest name to sign with LIV Golf, which was reflected in his captaincy of the newly minted Legion XIII team composed of Tyrrell Hatton, Caleb Surratt and Kieran Vincent. Rahm was the only golfer in the LIV Golf league to finish in the top-10 in every single tournament he finished (he was forced to withdraw from Houston due to an infection in his left foot), and his victories at LIV Golf UK and Chicago propelled him past Torque GC captain Joaquin Niemann for the LIV Golf Individual Championship. Rahm finished first in GIR and in the top-10 in birdies per round, scrambling, putting average and driving distance. His major performances left much to be desired, however, as he finished T45 in his defense of the Masters before missing the cut at the PGA Championship and withdrawing from the U.S. Open Championship. Rahm did manage to finish T7 at The Open, and he was agonizingly close to winning the gold medal at the Paris Olympics before blowing a four-shot lead on the back nine of the final round to finish T5. Rahm will be in the field for all four major championships in 2025.
